They're generic, boring.Took me 5 seconds to come up with. If youre going to stand out from the hundreds of thousands of bands that are out there then you need to be different somehow. Might as well start with having inteligent lyrics.
I'm new to these forums so I thought I'd give some feedback before posting any lyrics of my own. I read that these were hard rock lyrics, I dont know how it sounds when you sing it, but when I read it I get a poetry feel. That doesnt mean its ***** or anything, it just means that its deep and the way you constructed the bars was like a poet would. All in all I'd say this was a good peice, my only criticism would be to add more detail.

You seem like someone who assumes first before asking questions because personally those lyrics seem like what everyone thinks when someone mentions "rock 'n' roll" lyrics without knowing what they really are.

Im not referring to classic lyrics from ACDC, VH, Aerosmith, GNR. I know those lyrics and how great they are. I was talking about all of the newer rock thats out there. Have you heard Airbourne? They're pretty cool but in their lyrics sound like AC/DC C-sides. Same with Supagroup, Endeverafter. If you can recomend any new rock bands I would really like to check em' out but the only ones I see dont really have much to offer.

no brainer rock 'n' roll, no fancy time signatures and full on party rock 'n'n roll... Same with AC/DC and Andrew W.K. ...
Don't get me wrong, I love the thinking lyrics but sometimes I want to get into 'Beavis and Butthead' mode and just headbang with a beer and this is where it all come into play.

I like the lyric's story, and it's deep of course. although I detect an english grammar error "Get real, its no better" is actually ASL (american Sign Language) Grammar. this is better "Get real, it won't get better."

The 'Get real, its no better' part is supposed to be part of a sentence, as in "Get real, its no better to ignore the world around you". She thinks that ignoring her problems by drinking them away is better then facing them head on.
I dont know if it makes a difference but thats just how I intended to sing the lyrics.
Wow, this is ridiculous.. Too deep? You know, kids, the world goes far beyond the surface. HellBellsLiveWire, your lyrics are great, your style refined, and your abilities definitely to par. I just think it'd be important to state that much.
If you're going for hard rock: Yeah, this seems about right. I actually imagined that sort of style the first time I heard it.
The hard rock fanbase has grown ultimately more sophisticated over the years, most of us appreciate lyrics that reflect the intelligent side of humanity.
Yea, I agree. I think that there are just so many bands out there today that you have to work hard and make sure everything you do is the best that it could be to get recognized. I have a killer chorus planned for this song, so I'll just have to work on it a little more.
Any other criticisms would be helpful... and sorry for the shameless bump!
