There is a consistency issue when you say in the first verse that "We are seperate from me to you / For us, there is no cure" and then later "We stand still together
Like a couple of trees / We seem to stand here forever / Cuz you will not be leaving me".

At first, there is no cure from them being apart, but then they're together forever. Maybe this is just supposed to show how their relationship is 'on again, off again', but it might be something you'd want to consider.
