Oh, so you know some Turkish. It's nice. I know a little Arabic, but it isn't that good to speak here.
Ok, I'll translate "bebegim" when I find the words.
Take care

Hey Vanda,

I've mentioned that I don't know Persian music very much before. But I forgot to say very important thing:I am a big fan of Iranian violinist, Farid Farjad.I hardly found his 3 cds. (Anroozha 1-2-3) I will also buy 4th and 5th album if I can find.I just ADORE his music. He has perfect songs like Taghdam Dem (my all time favourite - I can listen this song all day!),Deyad Gity,Pari Kojaie,etc...He really makes the violin cry.He is certainly one of my music idols. And I know that he has some diehard fans in Turkey.(just like me )

Do you know/listen him?Or I wonder if anybody knows or loves his music like me here?

I recommend everybody to listen his music who is interested in classical music (violin&piano) and who likes good music.

I am not sure...I listened many songs of him but in his 3 cd (Anroozha) song names are written in Persian font only and unfortunately I can't read them...(Even though I took Ottoman Turkish lesson- which is mix of Turkish,Farsi and Arabic - at university. )

Hi Ashoori.
So, you are following the usual way and learning the most popular daily language
Yes, we are the people of the same region and we do have a lot in common, I am sure.
I see you have a good deal of knowledge of music. It's so nice.
Your nationality looks unique and interesting. I have to read a bit to have some knowledge. Then, I'll know about you more.
Take care.

Hi again, Ashoori.
Your history goes back to 5000 years ago! It is unbelievable. I've read this page:
Assyria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, you speak a Semitic langage. Which language is the closest to Assyrian in our time? Are there any other pages about Assyrians you recommend?

Default Gole sangam(I'm a stone-flower) by Hayde(Album Faryad/Shout)

gole sangam, gole sangam --- I'm a stone-flower, I'm a stone-flower
chi begam az dele tangam? --- what do I say from my sad heart?
mese aftab --- like the sun
age bar man natabi --- if you don't shine on me(1)
sardam o bi rangam --- so I'm cold and colorless

hame aham, hame dardam --- I'm all ah(2), I'm all pain
mese tofan pore gradam --- I'm full of dust like a tornado
bade mastam --- I'm a drunk wind
ke to sahra mipicham --- that I screw in desert
dore to migardam --- and adore you

mese baroon --- like the rain
age nabari --- if you don't rain(on me)
khabar az hale man nadari --- so you don't understand me
bi to par par misham do roze --- I will die without you in a short time(3)
dele sanget baram misooze --- (then even) your stony heart will pity for me

1- it should be like this: "if you don't shine one me like the sun"
2- quasi-sentence for "regret"
3- I don't know any equal for "par par shodan"! it's just a quip... it means almost "die"

Thnks. You really give me enthusiasm. Some day, when become really good at Persian, I'll remember you have a share in it.

Persian we are learning at school is somewhat a little archaic, I think. Because "maro" was the form we saw in the book and our teaher said it is also possible to use "naro" form in modern Persian. I think this forum and some other internet sources with modern Persian will help me learn the new ways.
