Neyrang(Trick) by Moien
be man onke badi amookht to bodi --- you were that one who teached me badness
to bodi --- you were(that one)
mano atish zad o khod sokht to bodi --- you were that one who burnt me and herself

onke ba tighe be zahr aloodeye eshghe del o didam o beham dokht to bodi --- you were that one who scotched my heart and eyes with toxic thorn of love
onke ba sho'bade bazi be neyrang labe faryade mano dokht to bodi --- you were that one who conciliated my shout trickly
akhare in ghesseye ma az khode ma, az ebteda peyda bod --- the end of our story was obvious from ourself, from the first
neyrang bood --- It was a trick
roya bood --- It was just a dream
dooshmane ma az khode ma --- our foe was one of us
har lahze beyne ma bood --- he/she always was between me and you
az ma bod, ba ma bod --- he/she was one of us, he/she was with us
to mano be baziye talkhi keshoondi --- you carried me into a bitter game
ke nadoneste be enteha resoondi --- that you ended that, unaware
man be khabe to --- I was dreaming about you
to jadoo shodeye khab --- but you, in sleep
doshmane ma ro be sare soofre neshoondi --- (you) associated with our foe
donke del be ghese ha bakht to bodi --- you were that one who falled in love with stories
khonemoon ro roye ab sakht to vodi --- you were that one who built our home on the water

Hi people,
sorry my absence, but last weeks have been chaotic. Meanwhile, my grandfather died and then I have been sick for almost two weeks. First I had a cold, and then it developed a sinusitis: the most awefuly painful headache I ever experienced in my liife.
But I am bac, althouth a bit delayed with the threads...
Vanda, ghali :-), thank you for caring and thank you also for the song "ahooe eshgh". You were right, the lyrics are weird indeed. I believe is not the kind of vocabulary people use on everyday conversations.
I will try to catch on all the lyrics posted since I was off and I will come back to you soon.
Kisses to all, khoda hafez, maa salma :-)

20 (bisti) lyrics
Hi all. I'm a new member from Chicago in the U.S. My family is Assyrian, but my mother is from Northern Iran and my dad was born in Baghdad. Since I was young I've been fascinated with languages in general. I've studied Italian for about 4 years now, I'd love to learn some more Spanish [I can get around basic words]. But Farsi and Arabic are my passions. Up until recently, I wasn't into much popular Farsi music, though. But I've jumped on the Kamran & Hooman band wagon. Lol. I was wondering if someone could translate 20 (Bisti) for me?
Thanks so much! =D

yes... a foreigner
"he was one of us" means "he wasn't a stranger, he was familiar"

Hey
Thanks, I think I understood what 'Bashe' is. Actually, heard this word in 'Hadz Bezan', "Mesle man divoone bashe"
You know, I already had searched for the lyrics for 'Doostet Daram' and found it here. But anyway, thanks for posting it again
Ok, 1 more query. What does 'to budi' mean? Its from Arash's 'Temptation'.
"To asemoone eshqam to budi, setareye man to budi".I understood the other words.
And from same song can u explain these lines as well?
"Ya omry bedoned khab boodam, ta man toro peyda kardam".
Thanxxx

Mesle man divoone bashe
here "bashe" as I said comes from "boodan" = "to be"
mesle = like --- man = I/me --- divoone = crazy
___________
To asemoone eshqam to budi
"You had been" in my love's sky (the song named setare so "you had been in my love's sky like a star")
setareye man to budi
"You were" my star
___________
"Ya omry bedoonet khab boodam
ye = 1/a -- omry = lifetime --- bedoonet = without you --- khab = sleep --- boodam = I was / I had been
I had slept a lifetime without you
ta man toro peyda kardam".
ta = until --- man = I --- toro = you --- peyda kardam = (I) found
until I found you.
