I tried to translate this song, though I don't have a dictionary, and I've only been doing Dutch for about 6 months so I'd be grateful if someone could correct it and fill in the gaps for me, please.

I've had a go at a translation. I used a fair amount of poetic license. 'Vannacht' in dutch means 'last night' in English in the context of the song so I tried to stick to past tense but I think a proper translation of the text and meaning of the song would move it to present tense etc. Eitherway here is my go at it. I've stuck to the melody but the timing of the sentences will you'll have to work on. No copywrite or anything applies.
