Arrow Tagalog to English Translation: Time In

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and thought this would be useful for my foreign language studies.

The song is "Time in" by Yeng Constantino. I am using my tagalog dictionary to translate most of the words, but I still can't make sense of what she is trying to say for such a nice song! If anyone would like to take the time to translate the lyrics to english for me. That would be great!

Salamat!

"TIME IN" - Yeng Constantino

Ako ang bida ngayon
(Masyado kang ambisyosa)

[Refrain]
Dahil
Ngayong gabi, ako'y titingalain
Ngayong gabi

[Chorus]

(Pinagmamasdan)

Ikaw ang-Miss Universe namin

[repeat Refrain and Chorus]

Hanggang kailan kaya
Ikaw si Cinderella
Hanggang kailan kaya
Hanggang kailan kaya

Alas-nuebe na, traffic pa
Kailangan ko nang magmadali
At magta-time in pa
Male-late na naman ako
Sa trabaho kong ito
Siguradong sabon ang aabutin ko
Sa aking among gwapo
Na hindi ko kayang abutin
Hanggang tingin na lamang ba ako
Sa aking Prince Charming

Ngunit
Malapit na, magugulat ka

[repeat Chorus]

Reyna ng gabi

Ako si Darna
Ay, cinderella pala

"TIME IN" - Yeng Constantino

Ako ang bida ngayon
<I'm the lead (like, lead actress, protagonist in a story, get it?) today/now>
(Masyado kang ambisyosa)
<(You're so ambitious)>
<Don't go against me (or what she said) if you don't want to be kicked on/in the face>
(Kung kaya, e di subukan na)
<(If it's possible, then let's try)>
Masipa sa mukha
<to be kicked on/in the face>
(Sipain din sa mukha)
<(also kick in the face)> *kick who? I dunno myself, hehe*

Ako ang bida ngayon
<I'm the lead today/now>
(Hanggang pangarap ka na lang)
<(That's only in your dreams)>
<In my actress-like style(outfit, etc...), I surpass Nora and Vilma> (fyi, Nora and Vilma are two....like... superstars in the Philippines)
(Wag ka nang umasa pa)
<(Don't hope for... *what she said - the outfit and beating the superstars, oh, you know* already)>
Si Nora at si Vilma
<Nora and Vilma>
(Ilusyunada ka)
<You're an illusionist> (not literally an illusionist...uhm, how do I say this... it's like, if you dream or hope for stuff that would be impossible for you to achieve... youre an or "illusionist" or "ilusyunada", get it?)

[Refrain]
Dahil
<Because>
Ngayong gabi, ako'y titingalain
<Tonight, I would be *titingalain*...> *from the root word "tingala"* ("tingala - to look upward... like, when you're looking at a star, or the sun... something that looks impossible to reach... sorry, I can't translate the conjugated version of "tingala", which is "titingalain"... )
Ngayong gabi
<Tonight>

[Chorus]
Ako si Darna, ako ang diyosa
<I'm Darna, I'm the goddess> (fyi, Darna's a superhero... the Philippine version of Wonder woman).
Ako ang talang nagniningning sa kalangitan
<I'm the one who actually shines in the sky>
Ako si Wonder Woman, ako ang superstar
<I'm Wonder Woman, I'm the superstar>
<This moment's mine, I'm the queen tonight>

Ikaw ang bida ngayon
<You're the lead now/today>
(Ako na nga ang bida ngayon)
<(I'm the lead now/today "nga")> *nga - hmm... it has no counterpart in english... but... put it this way... if you met an annoying kid who asked you "Who are you" and you answered, "I'm ________"... and then he asks you again... during this time, you'll probably get annoyed and say "I'm ______, didn't I just it?" so, "didn't I just say it?" is the nearest thing to "nga" that I could think of...please bear with me, hehehe*
Ang mga kababaihan, silaw sa iyong kagandahan
<Women...will be dazzled by your beauty>
(Pinagmamasdan)
<being looked at/that was being looked at> (probably referring to "beauty")

Ikaw ang-Miss Universe namin
<You're our Miss Universe>

[repeat Refrain and Chorus]

Hanggang kailan kaya
<Up to when...kaya> ("kaya" is similar to "do you think")
Ikaw si Cinderella
<You're Cinderella>
Hanggang kailan kaya
Hanggang kailan kaya

Alas-nuebe na, traffic pa
<It's 9, and there's traffic...pa> ("pa" is used to emphasize something... in this line, its meaning is similar to "and what's worse"... so, if you put it together, it'll kinda mean like.. It's already 9, and what worse... there's traffic)
Kailangan ko nang magmadali
<I need to hurry up>
At magta-time in pa
<And I still need to "time-in"> (I dunno what that means.. but at least it's in English)
Male-late na naman ako
<I'm gonna be late again>
Sa trabaho kong ito
<In this... my job> (I know, putting "this" and "my" does not make sense... but well, I just want to let you know that the "job" this line is reffering to, is not just another "this" or "that" job the narrator/whoever is singing is referring to... it's actually "his/her" job)
Siguradong sabon ang aabutin ko
<I'm sure that I'll end up with a soap...>
Sa aking among gwapo
<From my handsome boss>
Na hindi ko kayang abutin
<That I could never reach/achieve>
Hanggang tingin na lamang ba ako
<Can I only look....?>
Sa aking Prince Charming
<At my Prince Charming?>

Ngunit
<But>
Malapit na, magugulat ka
<It's near/It'll come, you'll be shocked>

[repeat Chorus]

Reyna ng gabi
<Queen of the night>

Ako si Darna
<I'm Darna>
Ay, cinderella pala
<Oh, I mean Cinderella>

Well, hope that helps!!! Sorry for posting lots of side comments...hehe
