Philip, you have been highlighted on the sticky poetry thread called "Poetry - General." The main goal is to promote the better poetry/lyrics and writers on ATL. Please feel free to share your favorites! However, the thread is also for discussing poetry in general. You're invited to join in.

I agree with Doug and Mexico62: You are definitely one to follow. The three of us are staunch supporters and helpers when we find someone's writings we like. As Doug said . . . your words of encouragement or constructive criticism for others' poems/lyrics can mean so much too!

Philip, I think your spelling overall is great. Maybe you have a little more difficulty with "homonyms." That is true with many people, because your spelling otherwise is fine!

Philip: I am impressed with your song "looking" and have commented on it. When all someone has to point out is a couple misspellings on your poem or song, you MUST have a very good song!! And that's all I have: "there's a HOLE in my heart" and at the end "WERE you looking for me?" (Where and were, two commonly confused English words.) Thank you for sharing your sadly beautiful poem. You may only be 15, but the pain you express (without being "emo") can be related to by anyone--regardless of age--who has had such hurt when young. The hurt sometimes never leaves you entirely.
