Umm... Its a hard one but I will have to say pop. And I don't get it. What is so bad about rock? If you couldn't choose anything else I understand but it aint really that bad.

alright just because you listen to rock doesn't mean you have to headbang...I don't assume that all people who listen to rap wear that lame fake-looking bling **** or whatever. and anyway pop is way worse, most pop singers don't have any talent, but i don't mind rap, i respect what rap artists do most of the time...still rock is the best, pop is by far the worst

I think rap would be the worst. I love rock, pop, and rap, but a lot of the time rappers choose dumb topics to sing about.

Metal heads/rockers they like the music,pop music is for guilable retards which is why it's popular it makes money because people want to be told what they like and although the music is catchy it's crap.

I'm not actually going to choose but I'm going to say this about the standard of argument on here:

The amount of arguing on here against rock music is based solely on generalising and stereotypes and it's done by people who probably think Linkin Park is heavy metal or green day is the be all and end all of punk rock...


Rock fans will never generalise about rap fans as the majority of us have the intelligence not to l;ook stupid in front of our peers so we'll listen to music rather than hear it and we'll gain information before spouting **** about other things we usually have no knowledge of.


1. rockers don't headbang all the time,
- headbanging is usually for bands like Iron Maiden or Slayer or most metal bands, not all rock music needs it.

2. Not all rockers act like Bevis and Butthead
- Most old school rock fans are intelligent, open minded and not afraid to speak their opinions to others...

3. Rockers are depressing and angry
- not so, rock and heavy metal may sound angry and abrasive to the untrained ear but if you bother to listen to it rather than hear it, you'll find the lyrics are usually happy and celebratory.

4. Playing rock music requires no talent whatsoever
- You're kidding me? If you play anything remotely like real rock (not MCR or kiddie punk rock) and you have no talent you'll be found out and thrown to the lions like a pack of Christians slaves.
you'l also notice there is no "rock idol", this is because you cannot have a rock band with any sort of integrity being manufactured eg:

Whitesnake
ZZTop
Live
Motley Crue
Motorhead

None of those were manufactured, they were built from talent, freindship and a love of the art of music.

Plus I've been playing for 25 years and can play most styles of drumming... yet I'm nowhere near fully trained... I have talent yet I can always go that one bit further.


Yeah, I like 80's hip hop and some rap and a load of 80's pop but too many idiots nowadays start slaying into rock music like they're an authority and to be honest, they haven't the first fecking clue about what they're talking about and it's pathetic.


Know your enemy people - if you want to slag rock off, listen to it first and tell us WHY it sucks and do it in an educated manner,. not just "LYK LOLLLL IT SUXX KOS IT DUS"

IMHO pop and rap are basically the same thing. Its annoying to hear it, its not what i would listen to, and im not sure which 1 to pick because their both the same tbh. Rock is ok, i dont really listen to it. I prefer metal.

pop i can handle,
