I have played saxophone for 17 years.
I started DJing 13 years ago.
I also play a little bass, guitar, keyboards, hand percussion and flute.
What I love doing though is producing music and doing remixes.

Hi vranac,

I had 5 years of piano lessons and still play the piano occasionally. However, I acquired a cello, and that's my primary instrument. I have been taking cello lessons for 16 years. A person does not need to take lessons that long, but I enjoy the challenge of playing more and more advanced music, and lessons keep me practicing so I don't go backwards.

The cello is less strenuous than a violin or viola that you have to grip between your jaw and shoulder. You have to have a good ear for pitch. Other than that it's just a matter of a little time and practice.

I also arrange music for a small community orchestra and play the cello with that orchestra. It's really a lot of fun playing with a group.

I've taken piano lessons for a few years, and I've writen a few songs on the keys.
But I've recently started picking up the drumsticks, due to my band lacking a drummer...
But really, I try to play every instrument I can get my hands on :P

I want to learn how to play electric guitar and drums, though.

I play the bass, both double or upright bass and guitar-bass, the guitar, and the cuatro (a Venezuelan instrument). The bass is my favourite, and I own a Fender Squire, my first bass (named Louie) and a Fender Jazz 24 V, which is a fecking awesome bass (beautiful design, oven-painted and all. Her name's Angela), and I wish I had an upright bass but, alas, I do not. I have a Johnson Solara electric guitar (a beautiful guitar, also oven-painted design. Diana, after my dog) and two cuatros which don't have a brand but are just made. Awesome instruments. But bass is my favourite, so props to you for playing the bass too man. Keep at it. What bass do you have?
