Icelandic translation for Egil's Saga

im trying to find a translation for the following lyrics from iclandic to english. and im finding it very difficult.. if anyone can help me i would be greatly appriciative.



"Hefir hon haft langan vanmátt."

Find a translation for the saga in English, and there you go. Unfortunately, there is a lot of variation in how it is translated.

Here's a nice translation of the Chorus, at least:
