Smile takk glosoli - sigur ros *

    Hi!
I found one song and (of course) don't understand it. I don't even know which language is it.
Please, if there is somone who speaks it, would you please translate it?
    Thank you very much!

    Sigur Ros

    Nú vaknar þú
    allt virðist vera breytt
    ég gægist út
    en er svo ekki neitt

    úr-skóna finn svo
    á náttfötum hún
    í draumi fann svo
    ég hékk á koðnun?

    með sólinni er hún
    og er hún, inni hér

    en hvar ert þú....

    legg upp í göngu
    og tölti götuna
    sé ekk(ert) út
    og nota stjörnurnar
    sit(ur) endalaust hún
    og klifrar svo út.

    Glósóli-leg hún
    komdu út

    mig vaknar draum-haf
    mitt hjartað, slá
    úfið hár.

    Sturlun við fjar-óð
    sem skyldu-skrá.

    og hér ert þú

    fannst mér.....

    og hér ert þú

    Glósóli.....

I love Sigur Ros. If you need any of their lyrics in English in the future, this site has many of the songs in both languages: http://www.alwaysontherun.net/sigur.htm They translate the title, Glosoli, as "the glowing soul". Though I really wouldn't know whether that, or "the glowing sun" is more accurate.

Glósóli would be like an alias. Glóa is glowing, sól is sun and the i in the end is like -ey in Joey.

But Sigurrós sometime invent there own language, so...

"Glowing Soul" is probably the right translation.

Glóandi is an adjective, and "Gló" is the noun of it, meaning Glowing.
Sóli is the sole of a shoe.

The two words put together means "Glowing Sole" but the word itself is invented by Sigurrós.

It's hard to explain how they can do it because Icelandic is very complitaced.
All the words are very literal, all the words explain themselves, that's why they can make up understandable words
