Belakhare yay!!Thank you azizam! In fact, i almost got the meaning myself but wanted to make sure. But i still dont understand to the full the last line..So he says he was fighting behind her - why behind?...

I listened to the song and now I think that he says : the whole world was against you but I fought and support you behind your back!!
maybe in this way it makes sense....

when you assume some things to be true,
other things may come to appear awkwardly

first the lyrics writer is probably using the front/back contrast.

secondly,
why do you assume that the speaker is "he" and not "she"?

with this assumption, it's more natural for her
to fight behind him, i.e. to support him ofcourse
