I've been playing the piano for about 6 years now, and I really want to start writing my own music to go along with it. I just don't really know where to start ... any advice for someone just beginning?? Lyric and Music Wise

6 years? dun hafta worry bout the music, usually what i try to do is work on a basic tune, from there i advance & begin to change and apply more to give it change and animosity. [but keep in mind that basic tune cause without it u'd prolly just be doodling on the back o ur text book in history class lol. what i think? get urself inspired by something, someone, even a song helps...they help me a shitload, that outta work & for words, keep in mind music comes from within, their not just words or lyrics, their feelings put into song, can be anything, emotions, opinions, perspectives, statements...anything at all, it usually comes to me, it should come to u, dont stress it & take it easy, but dont slack off either, if u want progress, u gotta work for it...
