You should pick it up fairly easily, especially if you listen to a lot of rock music and have a good sense of rhythm.

Emo is this generations version of grunge...
both based on anger, depression, hard-times so I guess it can't be too band. The problem is people have stereotypical views of what emo actually is.

They sound like early Queen in many of their songs which is one of the reasons i like them.

Depends how serious you are on learning.
If you just wish to play simple tunes, I would find a chord chart and start with the simple ones (G, C, D, Em), then progress to the others.
