well I wonder if they do it in other languages as well. .I know Croatians don't but Serbians.. we turn everything in "write as you speak" Nju Jork, Los Anđeles, Džejms Blant, Džordž Vašington... then, there is: postovati, banovati (!) ... which is one of the reasons why I can not speak in Serbian online - I don't speak the language lol

Russians do it too (although i guess every language with a different alphabet will do it)
so do the Japanese, they even butcher up the word even more.

Dutch speaking people and french speaking don't. (unless it came from a different alphabet)
Although the french speaking people do have the tendency to read the english word like if it were a french word, it drives me nuts

That's the only thing you have to say, look at how much Petra has to say but you haven't.

Because we have seen eachother last night, now you know that I know who you are.

Can someone tell me what 'habanera' means? It's that song title from Zeljko. Is it an actual word or a made up one??

I had that problem when someone asked for translation of that song

Habanera is a slow Cuban dance and he calls her "my habanera"

but I guess it should be "and falsely mine, habanera"
However,... maybe it's related to the aria from Carmen and not necessarily to the dance :

Wikipedia - Habanera

Maybe Zeljko's she is "rebellious bird that nothing can tame"

Hi! Actually when I look on wikipedia, they talk about the cuban rhythm and Zeljko's song has that cuban rhythm so perhaps that was the whole point. Anyway...it's a nice word...even if it's used wrongfully. hehe

Now I need help! I'm translating Canadian driving test (don't ask!) and I can't figure out what this could be:
slake adjustment not more than 2 inches
It has something to do with brakes... any help is welcome (picture, English or (preferably) - SRPSKI! lol
hvala!!!

Maybe I should go through the entire thing first? Cause I am sure I will get stuck more than once! lol

But well... there's not much to that sentence. It's a list of checks to do before starting to drive..

"Deferential no leaks
Brake chamber secure and slake adjustment not more than 2 inches

I am in pain! I translated all sorts of things in my time.. microbiology.. physics... but omg this truck will hit me! hahaha

Thanks y!
