Hahhaha, that (nothing for translation) was my first thought whent the lyric was posted. I think it's because of that, (I hate it too )

Yeah argh! It just reminds me of a jumping crowd and me praying to God that it would stop!
lol
But if I reallyyy concentrate.. I see gypsies running around from town to town and there's a girl Zorica in the story... Why they need kalasnjikov in such a cheerful pacifistic song I don't know!
That concentration didn't help much now did it?... :s

So.. please Zise! maybe we make a story after all hehe

Ok. Let's think a bit. There we have Yugoslavia, and the weapons - manifacturing during the world war 2. Based on this, the poor, hungry population have nothing to hope / belive on, so we can tell that they're suppose to make fun (kinda put colour in their everyday routine), by involveing the "fruit of their work" (the "Kalashnikov" for instance) in a funny song that will enatertain them, after work. Maybe there's the motive of their weaknes of fighting or defending themselves, and the prospect to have a Kalashnikov to do it. Somthing like that is in my head.
The action that imagine is: A group of the workers are playing around a fire ina a circle or something like that, the biggest part of them playing music by instruments (those big large tubes, I forgot their name), and the others holding in hands the "Kalashnikov" as symbol of their hard work. The girl's part here I suppose (because the workers are suppose to be males), is to be attracted by the playing the music males.
Something like that I think.

hehe that definitely inspired me!

Well it's from the movie Underground which I missed!

Quote:
The story starts from an underground manufacture of weapons of Belgrade, during the WWII, and evolves into fairly surreal situations. The black marketeer who smuggles the weapons to partisans forgets to mention to the workers that the war is over, and they keep producing. 50 years later, they become suspicious, and break out of their underground "shelter" --- only to convince themselves that the guy was right: the war is still going on
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEqCSmXTX6o : "It's a little ironic song about men that love to carry weapons" he says

Yup the movie. Just I can't understand the motive with the gypsies and why the song is in gypsian ??
Well, I tried to connect the both thigs, hope that Rojo Cordova will get the idea.
BTW, the clip from youtube, is captured from our national Tv.
I missed it too! And I'm not so eagered to play it now neither.

I played it! And didn't hate it! I think this topic helped me get rid of the grudge I was holding against the evil song!
LOL

Smile wow (Rojo cordova says)

Wow
that's great!!!
all the things that you write here are really interesting...
they make think about the power of the sound by itself, you know

The mexicans, as spanish speakers, we don't know the gypsie language
but we love dancing
everywhere
lol
everytime

so, we saw Goran orchestra's and we thought
man!!!! that sound like
mariachi music with banda music un norteño music!!

so we found in goran orchestra a kind of mexicanfolk musci mix

and we scream full of joy
and wet
('cos that day rained, and that day a 7.8 earthquake happens
and all we stayed there
right in fron goran

Man, that was....................
****ing amazing

yours, Rojo Cordova

Hi, well I like all of your thoughts about this song.
I really like the music, balkan brass/gypsie.

I think that 'suje' means 'beautifull' (I read that somewhere, just don't remember where).
And I think that 'te mange' would mean something like 'to love' because I heard a song called
'mangevtut' which means 'I love you'.
Also I think that 'pistolcici' must mean 'pistols' and 'bobonice' 'bonbons'.
And hopaaa is like 'let's dance'.

Caje, suje, ajde, hopaaaaa
Come on beautifull girl, let's dance!

And all that boom boom and kutz (although I think he says puc puc or putz) those are gun sounds.
Dalakovac, Markovac, Mala Krsna Lajkovac are places in Serbia.

You know when there are weddings and other feasts sometimes they fire guns.
So I think that the guys that carry guns with them, fire them and all the beautifull girls dance or something hahaha.

This is how I see it... I hope this makes sense.

By the way... maybe 'cavro' means 'like' ...?

So the translation of this part would be...

Zvoncici, zvoncici, cavro pistolcici
BLUEBELLS, BLUEBELLS, (SOUND) LIKE GUNS
Caje, suje, ajde, hopaaaaa
COME ON BEAUTIFULL GIRL, LET'S DANCE!

Boom, boom.... (gun shots)

Zoki, zorice, cavro bobonice
ZOKI, ZORICE, (SWEET) LIKE BONBONS
Caje, suje, ajde, hopaaaaa
COME ON BEAUTIFULL GIRL, LET'S DANCE!

Hahah I really like it!

I have Polish lyrics to this song and I'll try translate to English... It's simplified lyrics, but maybe help you.

Boom, boom, boom!
My heart beat – toc, toc!
Boom, boom, boom!
When they’ll start – bang, bang!

Oh God, if I have to I’ll sell my wife and her mother
for one, new kalashnikov!
Kalshnikov, kalashnikov, kalashnikov!

Boom, boom, boom!
My heart don’t beat
if somwhere don’t shoot!
