As for the general meaning...I'm not sure. It's not a love song, because he's talking to a man and he's straight so...yeah, he's not singing to a lover. I'm taking a guess that it could be a song about God or the Messiah or something because the singer is quite religious and it seems a bit religious lyrically. But that's just my (uneducated) opinion.

Finally, thanks for posting the lyrics because his accent was a bit hard to understand :-p

the song was written to Gilaad Shalit- an israeli soldier kept in captivity by hamas terrorists for over 5 years. He became a national icon in israel. Although the song was written whilst he was still in captivity he was recently released in a prisoner swap.
