    Default No One Cares

    (Verse 1)
My friends have come and gone.
Shifty snake eyes were all they had.
And now their memory still haunts this place.

I've grown up enough to realize,
that no matter how much you try,
there's no getting out of this life-sized rat race.

    (Chorus)
    There's some hope after all.
You just have to look in the right wares.
And when you find that pain,
    twisted with fate and hate,
you'll know that you're meant to be,
in a place where no one cares...

    (Verse 2)
I'm a liar when things go bad.
    Something I can't really control.
But I don't suppose that lying hurts...

Come around and what do I see?
Just a group of what I hate.
With self-pity written all over their shirts...

    (Chorus)
    There's some hope after all.
You just have to look in the right wares.
And when you find that pain,
    twisted with hate and fate,
you'll know that you're meant to be,
in a place where no one cares...

    I don't care...

Sometimes I just get far too involved in the message. Please care.

Of course, I care. But as in the sense of the song, I don't. Whenever it comes to friends who want you to feel sorry for them, or bring up your past, I don't care for them anymore.

I understand, but I guess I wanted to say that sometimes we don't quite understand, or we just have to get past a certain point. But sometimes when I write, after I finish with the lyrics I'm also finished with the feelings that led me to write. I guess that can also be true for others, not just me

I absolutely agree with you there. I have found that when I'm having a rough time and I write about it, by the time I am finished my emotion has left me. Almost as if it has been transferred out of me and onto the page. A little odd sounding I suppose, but seems to be true.

Nope, not odd at all I don't think. In fact I guess that's the good thing about writing, expending, using lyrical expression as an outlet. Well actually I guess it's simple cause and effect. But now I'm wondering if it's bad to over-analyze, so I'll just shut up now
