MTV 1990s video: black girl dancing wildly on white beach

I am looking for a Music Video:

when: late 1990s / early 2000s
where: MTV (Telekabel Austria)
music: (I think) rather mainstream Hip Hop (or Pop)
singer: a young, darker-skinned, maybe latin girl (between 17 and 20 yr) with long hair reminiscent of these: Rihanna / Beyoncé / Lil'Kim / Kelis ...
outfit: (I think...) she wore jeans
setting: a beach with white sand, maybe a palm tree...
performance: the girls sings & dances vigorously in the sand. There were some acrobatics involved (I think). I remember her as moving very erotic
daytime: maybe sunset (I am not sure about this point)
song title: (I think) it was short, maybe 1-2 words only

Which is the song?

I have seen it only once, so maybe my memory is not 100% accurate.
I appreciate any help, I've been looking for this FOR YEARS now...

I think she was NOT black but rather had a darker complexion, I think of latin american origin.

If it was the 90s, it couldn't be Rihanna because she started singing in 2005. Your description of the music video reminds me of Chris Isaak - Wicked Game, haha.

no, 1989 is too old.
and there was no male singer in the video clip - only the dancing girl.
I think it was late 1990s (or early 2000s) which of course rather eliminates Rihanna.
Also the dance performance was not like her rather soft style. it was really energetic.

Wow, I had no idea Wicked Game was that old. Maybe it's someone like Aaliyah? (Years active 1991–2001).

My video was in fact very similar to

which came out in 2003.

As far as I remember, the dancing girl from the video I am searching was younger and less tall and above all, the dancing was not oriental style..

The girl is very close in looks and age to the one I have in memory.

But the dancing was very much like Beyoncé - Baby Boy, but less oriental.

I remember she was also throwing sand.

Can you remember anything else about the video?

Thanks for your idea. Shakira IS sexy. The year of release (2000) of Suerte / Whenever, wherever matches.

However, in my video were no oceans, mountains or horses... and the girl danced far more wildly.

Is there any early Shakira video where she dances faster (and in the sand) ?

It could have been Jennifer Lopez, but the pace of dancing is still too slow, and, above all here she is accompanied by six guys.

I remember the girl as looking way younger (although Trina was only 22 in 2000), and dancing really wildly, almost frenetically in the sand.
