    Glory - "La Popola"
Would someone please translate these lyrics to English? I think it's full of Puerto Rican and Dominican slang.

    Tu querias popola,
Pues agarra que no tienes pila,
    Aguichi, chi,
    (A todo gavete),
    Nos fuimos,
    Escobar,
    Gata gangster,

    Y yo toque, Y llame,
    Y nadie me contesto,

Aahhhy, no me des mas na',
    Que me duele la popola,
    Ahi dale por aya,
    Pa' que descance la popola,

    El compa y don facundo,
    No la deja descansar,
    Asi ta' su mujer,
    Ella le pide sin parar,

Cuando se va pa el barrio,
El la busca por to' lado,
    Asi 'ca su mujer,
    Le dicen sonrifiao',

    Quien mas,
    (Glow),
    El cibao,
    Republica,
La popola pa' todo el mundo,
    Escobar,
Dile a Eliel que me llevo la popola,
Me la llevo, me la llevo,
    Se acabo.

This is really hard to translate because it is full of slang. La popola means p***y. Sorry to be vulgar.

You're right about that. No need to apologize... I asked for it. Besides, I'm never offended by any reference to p***y! Can you translate any of the other lyrics?

My guess is "Tu querias popola" means "You want *******" but I'm not sure what tense "querias" is. I have no idea what "Pues agarra que no
tienes pila" means, or "Aguichi, chi", or "A todo gavete". Do you?

I don't know what "El compa y don facundo" means. I think "No la deja descansar" means somebody doesn't let her or it rest. "Asi ta' su mujer" I think means "His/your woman is like this/that". What about "Ella le pide sin parar"? Is that "She asks without stopping"?

"Cuando se va pa el barrio", is that "When he goes to the neighborhood"?
"El la busca por to' lado", is that "He looks for her/it everywhere"?
"Asi 'ca su mujer", is that "Your/his woman is here like this/that"?
"Le dicen sonrifiao'"... I don't know what that means.

... or "El cibao", or "Dile a Eliel que me llevo la popola".

    Can anyone help please?

    Tu querias popola,
Pues agarra que no tienes pila,

    You wanted *****
so grab what has no batteries

    Aguichi, chi,
    (A todo gavete),
    Nos fuimos,
    Escobar,
    Gata gangster,

(Nos fuimos literally means "We left" but in music it's a phrase that means "We're gonna run this" or "Let's do this", it's really hard to explain)
    Sweep
Gangster girl (Gata literally means "cat" but hispanics use it to describe a hot girl)

    Y yo toque, Y llame,
    Y nadie me contesto,

    And i knocked, and called
    And no one answered

Aahhhy, no me des mas na',
    Que me duele la popola,
    Ahi dale por aya,
    Pa' que descance la popola,

    Ooohh, don't give me anymore,
    because my ***** hurts,
right there, hit it over here,
so that my ***** can rest

    El compa y don facundo,
    No la deja descansar,
    Asi ta' su mujer,
    Ella le pide sin parar,

(first sentence makes no sense, too much slang)
    Don't let her(*****) rest,
    his girl is like that,
    she demands it without stopping

Cuando se va pa el barrio,
El la busca por to' lado,
    Asi 'ca su mujer,
    Le dicen sonrifiao',

When they go to the neighborhood,
    He looks for her everywhere,
    his girl is like that,
they call that "sonrifiao" (*** is that supposed to mean?)

    Quien mas,
    (Glow),
    El cibao,
    Republica,
La popola pa' todo el mundo,

    Who else,
The "cibado" (slang for the singer probably),
    Republic (meaning dominican republic),
    ***** for everyone

    Escobar,

Dile a Eliel que me llevo la popola,
Me la llevo, me la llevo,
    Se acabo.

Tell Eliel that i'm taking the *****,
i'm taking it, i'm taking it,
    it's done.

All the stars are supposed to be replaced with "vagina/genital area of a woman", i'm guessing they blocked it because they don't want people talking about sexual things lol and the 3 stars on the 6th translation was supposed to be "W-T-F".

I have looked at this song for weeks. It is so hard to translate with the song being 90% slang. Thank you for what you have done.

El compa y don facundo could mean the company and mr. articulate. facundo means articulate or fluent. It is a person who has a fluent way to do things. So I think that is what this line means. I just cannot make it make sense in english. I guess the equivalent would be like a sharp man.

Thanks chichisponge (love the name, too)! I think Don Facundo is a reference to Bacardi (i.e. the founder of the rum distillery). I made that connection by accident.

What about "Aguichi chi"? Anybody got any ideas?
