Question Aneta & Molika - Ajshe, mori Ajshe (MK > EN)

I've only little hope, that someone here likes this song and share my taste. But maybe there is anyone, who likes to translate the lyrics anyway?

    Ajshe, lichno Ajshe,
    na pendjer ti poddaj se,
    jas idam da te vidam.
    Ajde Ajshe, lichno Ajshe,
    koj vino ke me sluzhi,
toj v ochi da me puli.

    Ej, more lichno momche,
    jas vino ke te sluzham
i v ochi ke te pulam.
    Ej, more lichno momche,
    shto ke mi taksash, biro,
    za takov sebap, milo?

    Ajshe, mori Ajshe,
    nalani ke ti kupam
    od pazar, dur od Struga.
    Ajde Ajshe, mori Ajshe,
    ti kakvi sakash - takvi,
    za nevesta, pak, zlatni.

    Ej, more lichno momche,
    doagjaj dur e sonce,
    aberot mi e storen,
    ajde, vecher ke me grabat
    begalka ke me pravat
    za edno staro aro

Original and romanized lyrics from here, together with this comment:
"West-Vardar Torbesh Region [...] On the picture [concerning that youtube-link] there is a girl in bride's costume from the region of Drimkol, Struga.

Torbeshs or Pomaks or Gorans are the descendants of Orthodox Christian Slavs who converted to Islam during the centuries when the Ottoman Empire ruled the Balkans. In the Republic of Macedonia they mainly live in its western part: Zhupa, Drimkol, Reka, Torbeshija Region, Rostushe etc.
    "

At the same youtube-page it is also claimed, that the song relates to the Albanian song "shoqe mori shoqe" or "Sho mori shoqe".

I really didn't expect. I was a bit afraid to post, because my requests often are so untypical Slavic. I'm very glad that you like it, too. You gave me a good feeling. Thank you and thanks, Spring, too ))

    Ayshe, pretty Ayshe

    Ajshe, lichno Ajshe,
    peep-out to the window
    I'm coming to see you

    Come on, pretty Ayshe
He, who's gonna serve me some wine,
He will stare me in my eyes

    Hey, mori pretty lad
    I'm gonna serve your wine
and I will stare in your eyes.

    Hey, mori pretty lad
how much you will pay me
    for that beneficence, my dear?

    Ayshe, mori Ayshe
I will buy for you slippers
From the market, down to Struga

    Come on, mori Ayshe
    these, which you choose
for a bride -the golden ones

    Ey mori, pretty lad
Come till it's Sun on the sky
    They already ask for me
They will take me away tonight
They will make me to elope
    with one old hunchbacked man...

I'm not sure about some words, may be someone will correct me...

I can't thank you enough, Athanatos. I literally don't know how to thank you, because I have got no more "thank"-button left

As far as I know, especially the nomads got married in different ways. First is the arranged marriage, second the elopement of the girl with the man and third the bride kidnapping. In order to preserve her family's respect and to get the forced dowry often the bride pretend to be robbed. But I can't understand, why it is here told she will be forced to "enlope" with one old man (whom she doesn't want).

May be I didn't tranlate it right...
Aberot mi e storen - literally: My sign is done (aber = haber (tr.) = news, notice, sign).

    Literally:

May be someone from Macedonia (Milka may be?) will help here?

I made a little investigation about this.
Don't forget, that the song is torbesh's one. (They are muslims and have little different customs).
    So...

    1. A man, which wants some girl for a bride, sends his people (called "svatovnici"or "strojnici") to ask for the girl to her parents.
If he receive a refusal, to keep his honour, he must kidnape the girl.

When the "strojnici" are came and received a refusal - so this is the sign, "aber".

    2. So, they will "steal"(take away) the girl in the night after the Refusal.
    3. The girl is called "an eloper", because when they grab her, she MUST stay with this man. If she escape and go back in her father's home, she will lose her honour and probably nobody would ask her for wife. So she will elope to this man (against her will).

Ah - I didn't understand before. Now it becomes clearer.

Yes, you are right. If she goes back to her father's tent (or house), she had lost her honour anyway in her family's eyes. So if she does not want to keep unmarried and get humbled she has to accept the man, whose friends had grabbed her. And he gets her for just a fraction of the usual price. My logical fault was, that I didn't consider, that she would escape to her father, see her forlorness and "enlopes" back to her robber. Thank you, Athanatos. This way it makes sense.

Sorry for the late response. Here is my input:

Aberot mi e storen = the message/request was sent (for me to marry)

Ajde, vecher ke me grabat = they will take me away tonight (meaning will steal her, kidnap her)

Begalka ke me pravat = an eloper they will make me

Za edno staro aro = for an old foolsome (this does not have to be negative though)

Na pendzer ti poddaj se = do appear at the window

Ej, more lichno momche, shto ke mi taksash, biro, = Hey handsome young man, what will you promise me, dear?

    biro = "chedo", "milo"

Za takov sebap, milo? = "sebap" is reason, commonly used to denote intention. She is asking him about his intentions towards her while again calling him dear (by using a native word this time).

    Hope I was helpful.

    Best regards,
    Milka
