إذا الشعب يوما أراد الحياة
فلا بد أن يستجيب القدر
ولا بد لليل أن ينجلي
ولابد للقيد أن ينكسر
ومن لم يعانقه شوق الحياة
تبخر في جوها واندثر
كذلك قالت لي الكائنات
وحدثني روحها المستتر
ودمدمت الريح بين الفجاج
وفوق الجبال وتحت الشجر:
إذا ما طمحت إلى غاية
ركبت المنى ونسيت الحذر
ومن لا يحب صعود الجبال
يعش ابد الدهر بين الحفر
فعجت بقلبي دماء الشباب
وضجت بصدري رياح أخر
وأطرقت أصغى لقصف الرعود
وعزف الرياح ووقع المطر
وقالت لي الأرض لما سالت:
يا أم هل تكرهين البشر ؟:
أبارك في الناس أهل الطموح
ومن يستلذ ركوب الخطر
وألعن من لا يماشي الزمان
ويقنع بالعيش ، عيش الحجر
هو الكون حي يحب الحياة
ويحتقر الميت مهما كبر
وقال لي الغاب في رقة
محببة مثل خفق الوتر
يجيء الشتاء شتاء الضباب
شتاء الثلوج شتاء المطر
فينطفئ السحر سحر الغصون
وسحر الزهور وسحر الثمر
وسحر السماء الشجي الوديع
وسحر المروج الشهي العطر
وتهوي الغصون وأوراقها
وأزهار عهد حبيب نضر
ويفنى الجميع كحلم بديع
تألق في مهجة واندثر
وتبقى الغصون التي حملت
ذخيرة عمر جميل عبر
معانقة وهي تحت الضباب
وتحت الثلوج وتحت المدر
لطيف الحياة الذي لا يمل
وقلب الربيع الشذي النضر
وحالمة بأغاني الطيور
وعطر الزهور وطعم المطر

i'd be cruel to this poem if i translate it ,it has a deep meaning,it belongs to the romantic tunisian poet "Abul kasim eshabi" ,it is a song of "Majida aroumi " too

here is my try

إذا الشعب يوما أراد الحياة
if the people one day wanted to live
فلا بد أن يستجيب القدر
then destiny has to respond
ولا بد لليل أن ينجلي
night should go off
ولابد للقيد أن ينكسر
and restraints should be broken
ومن لم يعانقه شوق الحياة
and whoever that the longing of life didn't embrace
تبخر في جوها واندثر
flies apart in its atmosphere and becomes extinguished
كذلك قالت لي الكائنات
so the living beings have told me
وحدثني روحها المستتر
and its hidden souls spoke to me
ودمدمت الريح بين الفجاج
and the winds rumbled between the gaps
وفوق الجبال وتحت الشجر:
and over the mountains and under the trees
إذا ما طمحت إلى غاية
if you ever go up to an aim
ركبت المنى ونسيت الحذر
you rode the wish and forgot to be aware
ومن لا يحب صعود الجبال
and who doesn't want to climb the mountains
يعش ابد الدهر بين الحفر
will live between the holes for ever
فعجت بقلبي دماء الشباب
blood of youngsters squalled in my heart
وضجت بصدري رياح أخر
and other winds roared in my chest
وأطرقت أصغى لقصف الرعود
and i started listening to the carousal of the thunder
وعزف الرياح ووقع المطر
the concert of winds and the falling rain
وقالت لي الأرض لما سالت:
and the earth told me when i asked
يا أم هل تكرهين البشر ؟:
Oh mother!! do you hate human beings??
أبارك في الناس أهل الطموح
i bless the one with ambition among people
ومن يستلذ ركوب الخطر
and whoever take delight in riding the danger
وألعن من لا يماشي الزمان
and i curse who doens't walk with the time
ويقنع بالعيش ، عيش الحجر
and whoever gets convinced with living the life of stones
هو الكون حي يحب الحياة
the universe is alive and loves the life
ويحتقر الميت مهما كبر
and despise the dead no matter how he gets bigger
وقال لي الغاب في رقة
and the forest has told in softness
محببة مثل خفق الوتر
lovely like the cord's throbbing
يجيء الشتاء شتاء الضباب
the winter comes,the winter of fog
شتاء الثلوج شتاء المطر
the winter of snow,the winter of rain
فينطفئ السحر سحر الغصون
so the charm turns off,the charm of branches
وسحر الزهور وسحر الثمر
the charm of roses,the charm of fruits
وسحر السماء الشجي الوديع
and the charm of the sky,the melodious the lamblike
وسحر المروج الشهي العطر
and the charm of the grasslands the delicious the parfumed
وتهوي الغصون وأوراقها
and the branches fall and its leaves
وأزهار عهد حبيب نضر
and the flowers of a lovable fresh era
ويفنى الجميع كحلم بديع
and everyone faints like an amaizingdream
تألق في مهجة واندثر
that sparked in joy but faded away
وتبقى الغصون التي حملت
and the branches that carried,stay
ذخيرة عمر جميل عبر
a hoard of a beautiful fragranced lifetime
معانقة وهي تحت الضباب
hugging each others under the fog
وتحت الثلوج وتحت المدر
under the snow,and under loam
لطيف الحياة الذي لا يمل
the dood-natured of life that doesn't get bored
وقلب الربيع الشذي النضر
and the well- smelled,fresh heart of the spring
وحالمة بأغاني الطيور
and a dreamer about the birds songs
وعطر الزهور وطعم المطر
and the fragrance of the flowers,and the taste of rain
