    Default 110 - Çocuk Parkı & Uyuduysan

    Please help?

    Çocuk Parkı

    Bir çocuk parkında
    Salıncaklarda sallandım mutluydum
    Herşeyden herkesten uzak
    Bulutlara saklanmaktı tüm amacım

    Dokunsalar ağlarım
    Yorgun bir savaşçıyım
    Hedeflerden çok uzak
    Hayallere dalmışım

    Tanıdık değil bu adam
    Tanıdık değil bu hayat

    Aynaya bak bu senmisin aslında
    Kaybettiler dokunduğun savaşta
    Binlerce yüzbinlerce dost aldığında
    Maskeler kurtarmaz seni hayatta

    Uyuduysan

    zaman akıp gitmiş
    ve biz hala aynı yerdeyiz
    sahipsiz mezarlar ülkesinde
    birer seyirciyiz

    sussam
    hepsini kendime saklasam
    unutur muyum?

    eğer uyuduysan ben yokken
    mutluysan
    gerçekler uzak mı
    bakmazsan, duymazsan
    umursamazsan

    zaman ezip geçmiş
    ve biz hala aynı yerdeyiz
    sahipsiz aşkların ülkesinde
    birer yenilgiyiz

    sussam
    seni hep içimde saklasam
    unutur muyum?
    mutlu olur muyum?

    eğer uyuduysan ben yokken
    mutluysan
    unutmak kolay mı
    sormazsan, duymazsan
    umursamazsan

    Teşekkür!

I'm polite with Turkish speakers, so I posted it on the Slavic forum.

Actually, I'm waiting for you to translate that, Sir. TAQ?

You know what ak stands for in this song and aq is the abbreviation people prefer to use instead of ak It has turned out to be such a common "word"
    Okay, gonna give a try

Grazie! It will be an excellent addition to your translating resume. Future employers will be highly impressed.

And thanks for Into the Sun...downloading now.

    CHILDREN’S PARK (Çocuk Parkı)

    At a chilren’s park
    I rode on swings
    Away from everything and everyone
All I aimed at was to hide among clauds

If they touched me, I would cry (Anything will make me cry)
    I’m an exhausted warrior
    Far from targets
    I’m engrossed in dreams

I’m not familiar with this guy
I’m not familiar with ths lifİe

Look in the mirror, is that really you?
They lost in the war in which you took part
Even if you get thousands, hundred of thousands of companİons
    Masks will never save you

Ahh thank you. The misunderstanding is forgiven in this case.

(I don't know why my computer is not giving me the option (AGAIN!!! ) of a thank-you button but when it does, I will affectionately click it as a small token of my gratitude. (Am I the only one this happens to????)

    Nice lyrics, nice translation too.

It is relatively, but I live on the streets, remember? A new laptop is not exactly in the near future for someone who burns cds to stay warm. (Plus, the customs at our airport will probably confiscate it. They did that to my brother.)

    IF YOU HAD SLEPT

    Life has flown and gone
And we are still at the same place
In the country of unclaimed graves
Each of us is a spectator

    If I become silent,
If I keep it all to myself,
    Can I forget?

If you had slept when I was absent
    If you are happy
    Do the facts become distant?
When you don’t look at, don’t hear
    Don’t care about (them)

Time has crushed and passed over (us)
And we are still at the same place
In the country of unclaimed loves
Each of us is a defeat

    If I become silent,
If I keep you within me all the time,
    Can I forget?
    Can I be happy?

If you had slept when I was absent
    If you are happy
Is it easy to forget (someone)?
When you don’t call, don’t hear
    Don’t care about (him/her)

Damn, the thank was on, so I pushed it for every post of yours in the thread (just to make a point.) but it worked only once. (Hmmm, maybe my computer is trying to teach me the lesson Paul's mother never taught...not to thank too often. )

And cds don't burn quite as warmly or colorfully as the old dinar I sent to Ercmnt and Milena for their translation corrections.

But did your friend land at Butmir (our airport)?!

And one question...I don't understand what the meaning is in Uyuyduysan of "if you slept"... Is it as if saying "if you were able to sleep, you didn't really care" ?

Sorry, I'm not as quick to catch on as Sohuda!

I think he means "if you were able to sleep without me beside you, alone"
