Did anyone else reread that and still think '***?!!'
Paul, you can always count on Viva being a lawyer comes naturally, I enjoy talking and arguing back far too much and isnt real life oft stranger than fiction?
I wasn't joking when I said that this is something I can go on about.
I know I said everyone on the planet seems to appreciate Teoman more than I do, but I've said it before and I'll say it again...I really do like his lyrics so much. I think he's extremely clever.
And Paul, it seems clear to me too that Mr. Deniz is not macho in his soul, but it doesn't help... he's just not for me.
Actually, I forgot to include these lyrics in my previous post, and I love them and I have a question about them. I know at least one person who is very gifted with Hayko lyrics, so...
Hayko Cepkin- Seninki Dert Mi/Senin Ki Dert Mi? (how should I write that?)
içimden bir ses uyanma diyor // A voice inside me says "don't wake up"
başlayan herşey şimdi bitiyor // Everything that began is ending now
susamış dilim bir damla su verdi // My parched tongue, you gave a drop of water
seven sen olunca uyanmak istedim // When you are the lover, I wanted to wake up
My question- the last line...I've always understood this in two ways, and I actually liked both ways very much, but I'm wondering if one interpretation is more "correct" than the other.
1) I wanted to wake up because you were the lover in my dream, and I didn't want you to be the lover
2) You were the lover in reality, and I wanted to wake up and be with you
(by the way, RedFish, those are all the lyrics to Seninki Dert Mi...it's very good for Turkish learners with good taste because the lyrics are short and easy to remember.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxm0b...eature=related and while listening to it I vaguely thought 'hey this reminds me of the funkily named arabesk that I asked zaza to introduce me to but which Plainy beat her to it' songs....
sorry, what exactly should I be looking for?
Before Zaza completly hates me for ruining her threads,
Seni severdim - Yasar ft someone else
I used to love you.
Ve sana rağmen,
And despite of you,
I'd still love you.
Daracık ip boynumda.
A tight rope around my neck.
Translation thanks to my beautiful Plainy <3
