This was supposed to be a poem, and a dark one but it turned into a song
I don't really know where it came from, I guess it's another well-hidden side of me (or I've been watching A Haunting too much lately)
A stain of blood on her white dress
On her knees, there she stands
Black mascara streaming down her face
She reaches out her hands
Her skin is slowly losing color
As she awaits her death
Her body’s slowly getting colder
She stops to take a breath
Ebon wavy hair, just like her
On her back, falls like rain
Completely lost in a world of hurt
He’s the cause of the pain
Crimson regret, bloodshot eyes
Staring at her love’s grave, she doesn’t dare to blink
Every single piece of her heart dies
Wishing she found another way to think
Crimson regret, hidden cries
For one more day with him, she would give anything
She can’t know they are only few steps apart
So close, but like always, too far away for touching
The sound of her steps echoes in his heart
She wishes he would be there watching
He was…
Crimson regret, bloodshot eyes
Staring at her love’s grave, she doesn’t dare to blink
Every single piece of her heart dies
Wishing she found another way to think
Crimson regret, hidden cries
For one more day with him, she would give anything
She loses her balance and falls
But too proud to stay down
On the strong feet of her naked soul
She dares to fake a frown
She couldn’t stand up for too long
She crumbles down again
The devil already sings his song
She knows this is the end
But with the last powers that she’s got
She tears the dress she wore
And she mumbles “what was mine, it’s not.
This gown belongs to her”
He regrets crimson, he hadn’t spoken
He thought it can’t be her, the one that’s in the grave
Every single piece of his heart’s broken
Someday he’ll know that she could’ve been saved
Crimson regret, wounds wide open
For one more day with her, he would give anything
