Maybe you can change "Or if it ever becomes clear" to just "It'll never be clear"? Just a thought.

I especially love the first two verses. You really grabbed me right up front with this one.

I see where you're going with that, are you thinking that the change keeps more in line with the verbal flow?

Yeah I was thinking just a minor tweak for the verbal flow. But when I reread it, it's probably fine just the way it is
