This one didn't feel quite as tight as your first one (Desire No Longer) but it's cool. And it made me think, even beyond the immediate words, even lost in space for a minute thinking, hmmm, this sounds like a vicious-circle kind of thing: One sees another, critically, but then does the other. Then the first becomes the object lesson (or I should say impetus?) for the second. On and on, round and round. But anyway, good job I think.

This particular song is very situational and, i feel, very 'musical theatre' as that was the context I wrote it in - almost to slot into a wider narrative. Just for the kind of unusual dynamic that's going on in the song (for mainstream Western lyrics if you know what I mean) I put it up wandering if it could stand alone...

No no I'm an amateur in every sense of the word Yes I've written/posted several things but all of them pale against the true creations around here.

Situational ... When I read other lyricists I sometimes think, there's something behind those words that I'll never know. Van Morrison is one. I've read some of his notes. And I like it when writers explain the background of a song. Sometimes it can put the whole thing in a different perspective.

Theatre, yeah I got a feeling of that and I thought it was important to the lyrics
