Was lucky enough to have a very good PH instrumental to write to


I've sewn my mouth shut just to keep it closed
Your body is the best kept secret
That everybody's dying to know

Don't let it damage your pride
Oh, god forbid you should open your eyes
And see the writing on the wall
This is goodbye
This isn't dignified anymore

I threw my hope into the well
But the water had drained
And it crashed to the ground
I made this bed to lay to rest
My optimistic dreams of waking up in it

I built these walls
Brick after brick of apathy
To hide away from the eyes that saw through me

No more dreaming of lying awake
With the covers over my head to keep me safe

[I don't mean to preach
But I've got a lot to say
There are so many things you've taken for granted]x2
Your body is the best kept secret
Because I won't spill it
