This is absolutely incredible Nanashi. I've never read (that I can remember) anything like this before. You posted this under poetry, but my mind drifts in free space and I'm trying to put this to music of some sort. Oh and the rhyming of every last line is a nice touch. God and Goddess, Shiva (his destructive aspect) and Jesus (the savior), and so on, this is so mystical that I can't even grasp it all. Don't even want to.

It is both. I just thought it best to be placed here for some reason or another, haha! I am happy you enjoyed it like you did. Do you know what it is about?

That's a hard question for me because I'm an idealist and I often try to see the best of something rather than the worst, or that's my first preference. So in that light: Goddess has seemed to offend the God in some way, because he wants (or wanted) to see something beautiful but his perception is off. I won't try to pin down the second verse because, who is the third person (I mean the first person, "I") and what is his/her purpose for observing?

Shiva destroying the countenance (he and/or she is beaten) and Jesus saving the soul ... life here (or on the outside) is over but in after-life (or internally) there is no condemnation.

    Foster every sentiment
    Internalize the cage

    Foster every sensual thought
    Internalize the rage

A choice, not either/or, but how "God" should/would/could deal with 2 possibilities that are not mutually exclusive. Both can or do exist, and it's a torment.

And the whole thing is a torment of reason, fact versus perception and also love versus lust.

That's my perception. Does it coincide at all with your intent?

You found one layer I wanted seen. I will have to be more specific soon. As for the other layer, think of someone being "trapped" in "something"...
