    Smile Mr. B

I have been trying to find the lyrics to a song that was written in the 60s (I think). I thought the title was Mr. B. You will probably recognize it by this description. Supposedly there was a churlish, characterless high school principal somewhere in California that was despised by most of the student body at the high school. Some of the girls got together and wrote a song that mockingly said something like 'Oh how we love Mr. B'. The song was created as a joke, but ended up making it to the top 10 songs through out the nation. Does anyone recognize the song I am describing?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure you're looking for:

    "Mr Lee" - Bobbettes 1957

Here's a history that mentions your description but it was a teacher, not a principal.

That is the one - thanks.

PS: If I had written a song for every bad teacher that I had, I would have several albums out there!
