Here is another of Forough's poems which is my favorite and i dedicate it to all, specifically to our dedicator veryclever1980.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Kash bar sahele roodi khamoosh...
I wish on a silent river bank..

    atre marmooze giahi boodam
I was the mysterious scent of a plant

    cho bar anja gozarat mioftad
    (and) once you passed by..

    be sarapaye to lab misudam
I would kiss you all over

    kash chon naye shaban mikhandam
I wish i could sing like the shepherd's pipe..

    be navaye dele divaneye to
to the rhythm of your crazy heart,

    khofte bar hoodaje mavvaje nasim
laying on the wavy howdah of the breeze..

    migozashtam ze dare khaneye to
..i would pass the door of your home

    kash chon partoe khorshide bahar
I wish like the spring sunbeam..

    sahar az panjare mitabidam
I would shine through the windows at dawn..

    az pase pardeye larzane harir
    through the trembling silk curtain...

    range cheshmane to ra mididam
I could see the color of your eyes

    kash dar bazme foruzandeye to
I wish in your sparkling party..

    khandeye jame sharabi boodam
I was the smile of a wineglass

    kash dar nime shabi dardalood
I wish at a painful midnight..

    sosti o mastie khabi boodam
I was the inertia and dizziness of a sleep

    kash chon ayene roshan mishod
    I wish like a mirror..

delam az naghshe to o khandeye to
.. my heart would be enlightened by your figure and your smile,

    sobhgahan be tanam milarzid
.. in the morning my body would be teased

    garmie daste navazandeye to
by the warmth of your caressing hand

kash chon barge khazan raghse mara
I wish like an autumn leave..

    nime shab mah tamasha mikard
..the moon watched me dance in the midnight,

    dar dele baghcheye khaneye to
(and) through the heart of the garden in your home..

shoore man velvele bar pa mikard
    ..my passion would reverberate

    kash chon yade delangize zani
I wish like the pleasant memory of a woman..

    mikhazidam be delet por tashvish
I crawled tensely into your heart

    nagahan cheshme to ra mididam
    (and) suddenly saw your eyes..

    khire bar jelveye zibayie khish
    staring at my beauty

    kash dar bastare tanhayie to
    I wish in your privacy..

    peikaram shame gonah miafrookht
my body would light the candle of sin,

risheye zohde to o hasrate man
the root of your piety and my longing..

    zin gonahkarie shirin misookht
would burn by committing this sweet sin

kash az shakheye sar sabze hayat
I wish from the green limb of the life tree...

    gole andoohe mara michidi
you would pick up the flower of my sorrow

kash dar shere man ey mayeye omr
Oh the elixir of life, i wish in my poetry..

    sholeye raze mara mididi
You could see the flame of my secret

You have translated it very well but why did you choose such a melancholic poem?

Forough Farrokhzad has some happier poems than this.

Hello my dear friend, thank you for your kindness.

Actually, I've introduced this amazing poem to our overseas friends already and all of them were amazed by it and asked me to translate it if it is possible for me. Because, Europeans love dark lyrics.

You know, there is a French proverb for it:
"In the depths of sorrow, happiness is hidden."

Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu my dearest Cametaa, the symbol of patience and care in our forum.

I love that poem, its name is آرزو Arezoo (Desire). your translation is magnificent my dearest Cametaa. God Bless You.

For sure, it's one of her best poems and for writing that poem she was attacked by the m.u.l.l.a.h.s.

She was a great person indeed.
For making her very touching film "The House is Black" she even lived with those who was suffered from Leprosy (Hansen's disease). At that time, people thought she was crazy but then they understood that she was very brave. Even braver than men. I can't describe her personality. SHE'S BEYOND ANY WORDS.

She and her brother Fereydoon were so patriotic and both of them gave their precious lives for us. She was killed in a car accident in her trip to make a documentary for Iran and her brother was murdered in Europe after the revolution, because of his love for his country.

WE NEED MORE FOROUGH AND FEREYDOON IN THIS WORLD.

Actually that was sarcasm. You can find nearly all of our poems melancholic. Even we can make a dance song with depressing lyrics, Pawlie knows.
