    Default Seksendört - Hayır Olamaz

Please, help me to understand this song

    Dün Akşam Ölemedim

    Yine Kör Kütük Sarhoş Oldum

    Rezalet Çıkarmadım

    Bi Sana Birde Kendime Sövdüm

    Ne içsem Olmadı

    Kafada Başka Dert Tasa Kalmadı

    Bir Seni Atamadım

    Sek içtim Acıları Su Katmadım

    Yalanlar Yalanlar Söyledim

    Beni Hiç Hak Etmedin

    Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi

    Tek Başıma Yollarda

    Beni Böyle Bulsun mu Off

    Her Akşam Bir Büyük

Başka Türlü Taşına Bilirmi Bu Yük

    Unuttum Derken Seni

Malup Oldum Aşka Yine Kor Kütük

    Her Sokak Köşe Başı

    Evim Oldu Yine Kaldırım Taşı

    Yolunu Kaybedenin

    Kedi Köpek Olurmu Sırdaşı

    Yalanlar Yalanlar Söyledim

    Bunu Hiç Hak Etmedin

    Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi

    Tek Başıma Yollarda

    Beni Böyle Bulsun mu

    Hayır Olamaz..

    Dalınlarisyanım Var

    Çalsın Sazlar Oynasın Kızlar

    Derdim Var Efkarım Var

    Çalsın Sazlar Oynasın Kızlar

    Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi

    Tek Başıma Yollarda

    Beni Böyle Bulsun Mu

    Hayır Olamaz..

    Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi

    Tek Başıma Yollarda

    Beni Böyle Offf

Hello, this is a great song. I corrected a few lines by comparing different lyrics and listening to the parts in the song.

Hayir Olamaz // No it can't

Dün Akşam Ölemedim // I couldn't die last night
Yine Kör Kütük Sarhoş Oldum // I became dead drunk again
    Rezalet Çıkarmadım // I didn't make a scene
Bi Sana Birde Kendime Sövdüm // I only cursed at you and me
Ne içsem Olmadı // Nothing I drank worked
Kafada Başka Dert Tasa Kalmadı // No pain no worry was left in my head
Bir Seni Atamadım // I just couldn't get rid of you
Sek içtim Acıları Su Katmadım // I drank the pain straight, I didn't add water
Yalanlar Yalanlar Söyledin // You told lies
Beni Hiç Hak Etmedin // You never deserved me
Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi // Should being without you beat me like this
Tek Başıma Yollarda // All alone on the streets
Beni Böyle Bulsun mu Off // Should it find me like this
Her Akşam Bir Büyük // Every night a tall one
Başka Türlü Taşına Bilirmi Bu Yük // Is it possible to carry this weight otherwise?
Unuttum Derken Seni // While I was thinking I forgot you
Maglup Oldum Aşka Yine Kor Kütük // I was defeated by love again dead drunk
Her Sokak Köşe Başı // Every road every street corner
Evim Oldu Yine Kaldırım Taşı // The paving stone has become my home again
Yolunu Kaybedenin // Someone who lost his way
Kedi Köpek Olurmu Sırdaşı // Can cats and dogs be his confidant?
Yalanlar Yalanlar Söyledin // You told lies
Bunu Hiç Hak Etmedim // I never deserved this
Daglin lan isyanım Var // Get away everyone, I have a rebellion
Çalsın Sazlar Oynasın Kızlar // Let the saz play, let the girls dance
Derdim Var Efkarım Var // I have sorrow I have grief
Çalsın Sazlar Oynasın Kızlar // Let the saz play, let the girls dance
Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi // Should being without you beat me like this
Tek Başıma Yollarda // On the streets on my own
Beni Böyle Bulsun Mu // Should it find me like this
Hayır Olamaz.. // No it can't
Sensizlik Beni Böyle Yensin mi // Should being without you beat me like this
Tek Başıma Yollarda // All alone on the streets
Beni Böyle Bulsun Mu // Should it find me like this
Beni Böyle Offf // Me like this Offf

You're welcome moja najsladja. =) I like the video of this song too. The first time I watched it I was happy like a 13 year old girl on her birthday. I'm so glad they finally recognized Erdem as one of their band members.

Can I make some humble corrections? I too love this song! No offence intended Sade, you know.

Bi Sana Birde Kendime Sövdüm > I cursed once you once myself

Sek içtim Acıları Su Katmadım > Alludes to the traditional Tr drink "rakı" which is usually mixed with some water. A necessary note for strangers

Don't you think the order of lyrics would be more meaningful as such:

Sensizlik beni böyle yensin mi tek başıma?
    Yollarda beni böyle bulsun mu?
    Hayır olamaz
    ...

Her akşam bir büyük > A big one (=rakı) ever night. Another allusion to rakı These guys must be drunk!

Kedi köpek olur mu sırdaşı? I think he sings "Kedi köpek olurmuş sırdaşı" though

Don't worry, I don't get offended by these things.

    Yollarda beni böyle bulsun mu?
    Hayır olamaz

Hmm, good point. Then it'd be:
Sensizlik beni böyle yensin mi tek başıma? // Should being without you beat me like this all alone?
Yollarda beni böyle bulsun mu? // Should it find me on the streets like this?

This makes more sense also judging by the way he sings it.

    These guys must be drunk!
ROFL...yes. I thought the same when I was translating it.

Kedi köpek olur mu sırdaşı? I think he sings "Kedi köpek olurmuş sırdaşı" though
I don't think he says 'olurmus', cos I really don't hear it. Maybe we can ask Sim after her ears heal.

My question to you- Do you think he really sings this 'Daglin lan isyanım Var' or something else?

And would you translate this differently "Derdim Var Efkarım Var"? I wasn't sure if it had a negative meaning or positive meaning as in "I have worries I have solutions" cos somehow that'd fit more to the next line and make a bit sense cos he's just getting drunk, when he's still feeling good.

    Thanks!

Yes, I think so. I hadn't understood what he sings here till today I suddenly got to understand that he sings "Dağılın lan, isyanım var" Too arabesque! I still can't believet he sings that

No. Dert, keder, efkar etc. All alike. You are right but he wants to have some fun to dispose of his grief I think. You forgot to make it plural in your translation

How does this make more sense lyrically?

Hmm, the lyrics I have say "dalınlar, isyanım var"...does that make sense? I don't know the meaning of that.

Thanks for translating this song again!

I just read both again and they gave me the same meaning, just that the first one has one line more and could be interpreted two ways while the second one is clearer. I think it doesn't change sooo much.

I read that one too at first, it didn't make much sense to me. And to be honest, I liked the "dagilin lan", so arabesk, so desperate, so emotional.

You're welcome moja slatcika. I really like the lyrics of their new cd.
