Into The Dark

This is based on my (unfinshed/under construction) novel of the same name

After all the things we’ve faced,
Now there’s a tear upon your cheek,
As you live the dreams of freedom,
I watch you as you sleep,

Wish we didn’t have to spend a single day apart,
But I have to go, I went too far into the dark,

I tried to carry you through,
But found I wasn’t worthy,
I embraced my love and lost you,
For I found who I am,
Let me hold my sword high,
Shout defiance to the sky,
Let me purge my soul of sins,
But I have to say goodbye,

We fought the war and won,
Against an cruel evil, untamed,
Blades that strove to rid the world,
Of the blood that’s in my veins,

I want to stay with you but I know in my heart,
That I have to go, I went too far into the dark,

If only I’d known from the very start,

Katiiiieeee this just makes me too too sad ..... nooooo please don't go!!!!

You write with beauty and elegance and sometimes with such feeling that I dive right in and get totally lost, and that's exactly what happened with this one. VERY very nice

I really enjoy your posts, as much because you can inject a really good mix of classic-literary-plus-contemporary. These lines for example:
