    Default Who Are You?

The thing about writing protest songs is that they're much more difficult to pull off. Every line has to have meaning, and it all has to be related. I've done an album about love and now I'm moving on to more important things. This song is a message about prejudice. I don't think I've done it well, but I'd love to just say certain parts of the words to someone:

    [Verse]

Why won't you look at me?
You know I'm talking to you,
    Everything I say,
    You should believe,
    But you don't

Why do you close your eyes?
When you still know that it's there,
    I face it every day,
    You should care,
    But you don't

    [Pre-Chorus]

You might mention it once or twice,
    Sometimes you think it's funny,
    But it really isn't,
    The truth you're missing

    Stop acting like nobody cares,
Stop hating and stop being scared,
    They're the same as you,
    They're just people too

    [Chorus]

What do you think of these people?
What must they think of you?
Tell me what makes you better,
    Oh please say,
    Who are you?

Don't stare at yourself in the mirror,
And try my one for a change,
Can you tell by my reflection?
    Who I am,
    Yeah who are you?

    [Verse]

    Behind closed doors,
    Your mockeries are seeping out,
    Everything you say,
    I shouldn't believe
    But I do

    But things will change,
I will fight until we are free,
    But until that day,
Don't say a word to me,
    Anymore

    [Pre-Chorus]

Cos if you mention it once or twice,
Then it really stops being funny,
    Yeah it never was,
    You better change because

    Thousands of people all care,
They'd pay to give you a scare,
    Cos they're not like you,
    They accept me too

    [Chorus]

What do you think of these people?
What must they think of you?
Tell me what makes you better,
    Oh please say,
    Who are you?

Don't stare at yourself in the mirror,
And try my one for a change,
Can you tell by my reflection?
    Who I am,
    Yeah who are you?

    [Bridge]

Will you cry if they break your heart?
I'd know I cried when they took me apart,
How do you live, how do you talk?
When I can barely stand to walk

    [Chorus]

What do you think of these people?
What must they think of you?
Tell me what makes you better,
    Oh please say,
    Who are you?

Don't stare at yourself in the mirror,
And try my one for a change,
Can you tell by my reflection?
    Who I am,
    Yeah who are you?

    [Outro]

Why won't you look at me?
You know I'm talking to you,
    Everything I say,
    You should believe,
    But you don't

    Well??? Where's the link????
    lol

Great line structure and word-beat on this one. It almost sings itself, without the link, so just forget it.
Noooo just kidding just kidding Very nice work!

Thanks, I've been trying to get into writing songs like this more.
I went through the soundtrack again, and I realised somehow that certain bits have gone very off time, and I don't know what to do with the bridge. The soundtrack is a bit weird. Hopefully I'll finish it today, or I'll just play the song on the piano and record it.
