BD2 (writing is hard for me right now)

to help, to save a life
to strive, but not with strife
to be normal, my ailments aleave me
to be a saviour, protect them from me
the pain, unbearable.
the shame, un-escape-able
a deep hatred, of thy-self
a deep want, to change my-self
to try, but get shot down
to care, but look like a clown
to protect, others of thee
to endure, loneliness and free.

I really like this. I think the first 2 lines are my favorite, but I like the last line too. The rhyme and syllable count of the 1st 2 lines make them roll of the tongue in a very satisfying way. The last line is interesting in that it brings about the idea of suffering in order to live freely. I'm curious to see/hear this in full song form & to hear this concept elaborated on.
