Real brain teaser

I have a friend who has been searching for a long time for a song. The band is ONE and the song is ONE.

I have searched and searched. I came up with Tino Izzo who used to be in a band ONE,but none of his tracks were called ONE. I emailed him already.

It was early 1990's that my friend listened to this song over and over, but not sure if the song was new then, or out for a bit.

I also found a reference on SongSearch that had One-One (as album name), import, but no track listing avilable. You have to buy it to find out, bleh.

Hope someone has something, anything, its one of those challenges I can't let beat me. LOL

This obviously may sound silly, but you ARE sure it's not just 'One', by U2, aren't you? Beyond that, I cannot find anything.
