    please help me identify this song/artist.......
    It starts out with.... "I know whatchya do-ing, baby.....I know whatchya say-ing"
    Chorus has the words...... "and it's not gonna work this time"
    Sung by one or several female artists, I believe were african american.... soul r&b song, came out in the late 80's or early 90's, they had a video on vh1

    the song is "i know" by dionne farris. she used to sing with arrested development before she went solo.

    Are you talking about "Touch It" by Busta Rhymes, "Touch" by Omarion, "Touch" by Amerie, or "Touch" by Seal?
