    I have 2 songs.

The first has the line Mr. Peabody's coal train done hauled it away. What is this song and who sang it.

The other was sung by Sissy Spacek (playing Loretta Lynn) in Coal Miner's Daughter. The line is They'll raise the titanic someday. I am looking for the name and the rest of the words to that song.

John Prine - Paradise aka Mr. Peabody's coal train.

This has been recorded by many artists including The Everly Brothers. It was written by John Prine.

When I was a child my family would travel
Down to Western Kentucky where my parents were born
And there's a backwards old town that's often remembered
So many times that my memories are worn

And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County
Down by the Green River where Paradise lay
Well I'm sorry my son but you're too late in asking
Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away

Well sometimes we'd travel right down the Green River
To the abandoned old prison down by Adrie Hill
Where the air smelled like snakes and we'd shoot with our pistols
But empty pop bottles was all we would kill

    repeat #2

Then the coal company came with the world's largest shovel
And they tortured the timber and stripped all the land
Well, they dug for their coal till the land was forsaken
Then they wrote it all down as the progress of man

    repeat #2

When I die let my ashes float down the Green River
Let my soul roll on up to the Rochester dam
I'll be halfway to Heaven with Paradise waiting
Just five miles away from wherever I am

    repeat #2

Loretta Lynn - The Titanic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMxF6Bs0HR0

The sun shone down in it's glory,
Shone down on the deep blue sea,
    Where the Titanic was sinkin',
Far out on the deep blue sea.

The captain was lying down sleeping,
When he dreamed a sad, sad dream,
He dreamed the Titanic was sinking,
Far out on the deep blue sea.

He rose and he called the rich men,
He told them to come to life,
    And save their little babies,
    Also their darling wives.

The captain, he must've been drinking,
For he knew that he had done wrong,
He was tryin' to win the record,
When he let the Titanic go down.

Before the news reached the homeland,
    The great Titanic went down,
The women and children and orphans,
Was walkin' all over the town.

The children was cryin' dear Mother,
Dear Mother has gone to stay,
But maybe it'll turn to somethin',
That'll raise the Titanic some day.

The band was at its playing,
Far out on the deep blue sea,
    While the Titanic was sinking,
They played "Nearer, My God, to Thee."

But while the Titanic was sinkin',
They fell down upon their knees,
And cried, "Oh, Lord, have mercy!
What's goin' to come of me?"
