    Seems older than the 70's... strong Elvis influence... or it's a take off. Possible lyrics "gonna be a rock and roll star"

    Chronos has a good point. The song style is like '50s/Elvis, but the instrumentation sounds '80s to me, due to the guitar distortion and vocal style. There were many such groups in the '80s, like Stray Cats, Elvis Costello, Electric Light Orchestra, etc.
