Default Ozan Doğulu & Atiye - Aşkistan

Merhaba everyone, lately I just <3 this song. I already found the lyrics, but I am hoping that there is someone willing to translate it into English?

    Çok teşekkürler!!!!

    -Aşkistan-

    Gezdim tozdum ezberi bozdum
    Herkese baktım olmadı geç
    Kibriti çaktın gönlüme attın
    Yalan yetende yanmadı geç

    Yazdım çizdim eline güne kızdım
    Halimi kimse sormadı geç
Durdum denedim olur mu bu dedim
    Kalbime sordum atmadı geç

Uflaya puflaya ne olacak böyle derken
Ters köşedeydin gönlüme çarptın içimde volkan

    Çekilsin aradan aşktan korkan

    -

    Kaynaya, kaynaya Allah muhafaza

PS Does «Aşkistan» mean something like 'land of love/land of the loving'??

    We have
-istan at the end of many country names, like Hindistan, Afganistan, Pakistan, Tacikistan and many more
think it like -polis in Greek.
Yes i think it sounds like "-land"

Well, from what I know (simple little Dutch guy), is that 'aşk' is 'love'. And many words in Turkish derived from the Persian language, and in that language '-(i)stan' means 'land of' (take 'Afghanistan'; land of the Afghan). So put 1 + 1 together, and this is what I figured out. But then again: I hardly know anything about Turkish language, so any sort of help with this is more than welcome!

Anyhow, thank you so much ercmnt for thinking with me!! Your profile picture (Homer Simpson as The Grim Reaper) doesn't do you justice; in fact, you create new ideas instead of 'grimming' them!

    -Aşkistan-
    Land of love

    Gezdim tozdum ezberi bozdum
    Herkese baktım olmadı geç
    Kibriti çaktın gönlüme attın
    Yalan ya, tende yanmadı geç

I was on the trot all day, i got out of my routine (* ezber bozmak is an idiom)
I had a look on everyone, i didnt like, next
you light a match, (and) threw it on my heart

As it was a lie, it didnt burn on the skin, next (in each lyric site it writes Yalan yetende but it has no meaning so i listened to the song and it is Yalan ya, tende)

    Yazdım çizdim eline güne kızdım
    Halimi kimse sormadı geç
Durdum denedim olur mu bu dedim
    Kalbime sordum atmadı geç

I wrote, i draw, i was angry with everyone arround (ele güne is a saying like everyone arround)
Noone asked "how are you" to me, next
I stoped, i tried, i said "is this ok?"
I asked to my heart, it didnt beat, next

Uflaya puflaya ne olacak böyle derken
Ters köşedeydin gönlüme çarptın içimde volkan

While i was saying what will it be D'oh!
you were in the opposite corner, you crushed my heart, a vulcano (i felt) in me

    Çekilsin aradan aşktan korkan

The one that is afraid of love shall get out of the way

It doesnt shape my sharp lines since time immemorial hımlama hımlama İndia (just play with words for ryhme) *pfff that line killed me
Its/he is so unique, feels like it/he sets on (me/my heart) on fire
let one say it again, What can a human being want more from the life
My hearts residental area is the land of love with you, not earth

*Something like "because of too much dancing my heart will jump out of its place"

    Kaynaya, kaynaya Allah muhafaza
Herkesi yakacak vay vay vay vay
    * again something like "God forbid, it will burn everyone (because) it is boiling"

Himlama. (Himmm the noise you make when usualy thinking/learned something new)
    1) just as I did now making the noise hmmm to think before writing.
    2) Negative form "don't make the noise hmmm!!!"

    -lama is the suffix
    Aglama
Ahlama (ah is the noise when you are hurt)
    Oflama (of for bored)

It was nice to try this one Robster
    It was my pleasure.

it is a word "was not excisting before" but if it is written we need to find it a meaning, and you did it very well. (: So congrats! not only your first on your own translation is done, even you became the name-father of a word :P .

You are welcome. No need for a thank.

Yay, I am becoming some sort of 'Neder-Türk', I guess (Neder=Nether, as in Netherlands, Türk=Türkiye)?? Screw the regular Dutch narrow-minded people; I just <3 the Turkish language, and I especially <3 Turkish music!!!

No, seriously: çok teşekkürler ercmnt, it's really appreciated! You even fought your way through the «Paklamaz beni öteden beri hımlama hımlama Hindistan» line... :P
So when you say that there's no need for any sort of thank you, I beg to differ! It's the least Í can do for your time spent in this translation, and thus I stand behind it: a simple, humble, and well meant 'thank you'!
