Default El Général, Hip Hop, & the Tunisian Revolution - my new translations and blog post

Hi, everyone. I've been working hard on my Arabic hip hop project and I just published my first big post. It's about the Tunisian rapper El Général, the development of the Tunisian hip hop scene, and the role that hip hop played in Tunisia's revolution. I also examine the Tunisian rappers Balti, Lak3y, Armada Bizerta, Psycho M, RTM, and Férid El Extranjero (a.k.a. Delahoja).

    Here's the link: http://revolutionaryarabrap.blogspot...-tunisian.html

As always, you can go to my Index of Subtitled Videos http://revolutionaryarabrap.blogspot...ed-videos.html to see all the Arabic rap songs that I've translated. I'm happy to take requests for translation, so let me know if you have one.

    Thanks for your support, everyone!

I am the editor-in-chief of World Policy Journal, the global magazine of international affairs in New York. We are publishing in our Winter issue, a piece by a writer in Tunisia on post-Arab Spring hiphop and we would love to have the lyrics (English and Arabic!) of a Balti rap song that might be pertinent. We would need this, though, by next Tuesday...any chance you could help us out? We cannot pay much at all, but we will give you a full credit in our magazine! you may reach me at andelman(at)worldpolicy.org
    thanks!!
