[4] ] ‘viela’ means literally a street that is little and narrow, I don’t know the English word for that. It refers to the streets of the shanty towns, like this.
[5] ‘Pé na porta’ means, literally, “feet in the door”, slang word for ‘to force a door’ in order to break into someone’s house.
[6] Weeell, here we have this expression, “o bicho vai pegar”, that can be translated in so many different ways, depending on the context. I decided to translated here as “to turn the table” because, in my opinion, it fits in the context of the song, since the person is talking about a situation that needs to be changed through a hard way. Other meanings of this expression includes: “The going will get tough”, “All hell will break loose”, “There is going to be trouble”, “Heads will roll”, “A storm is brewing”, “Something bad is going to happen”, etc etc etc
[7] I was not sure how to translate this, but I guess all those meanings fit in the context
[8] I had no idea how to translate this slang ‘o papo é contigo’, that means literally “the talk is with you”, but in my opinion, in this context, it has a meaning of ‘”it’s up to you”
