Red face Christmas Eve (Because You Have To Write One At Some Point!!)

T'was nine sleeps 'til Christmas, and tedium reigned...
So Katie picked up her song pen again...

Just kidding!! I was feeling warm and fuzzy and Christmassy so I wrote the following random cr*p. As you do. It is December. Not that I've actually done any Christmas shopping yet. Unorganised me... well, anyway, here t'is!!!

    Christmas Eve
(Because You Have To Write One At Some Point!!)

It's the time of year, with cheer, with bells on,
When everyone smiles 'til everyone's gone,
And the town is alive with lights that remind,
The people that party that again it's that time,

This year I've saved up my words to be said,
Wrote them in a card with your home address,
Posted it yesterday, waiting for a reply,
Gazing through frosted glass at the sky,

I'll sit here by the fire, listen to the snow,
Dream of your kisses, wrapped up in a bow,
And I'll stay here 'til I have to sleep,
    On another lonely christmas eve,

And I imagine I'm gazing into your eyes,
Waited all year 'til the courage arrived,
I think Saint Nick brought it to me this year,
Because it is Christmas, this time of cheer,

The children are laughing outside on the street,
Slipping and sliding on their furry-clad feet,
A snowman that's been made outside my door,
Isn't the person that I'm waiting for,

I'll sit here by the fire, listen to the snow,
Dream of your kisses, under mistletoe,
And I'll stay here 'til I have to sleep,
    On another lonely christmas eve,

When the door rings, I hear jingle bells,
And I'm in no hurry, for I don't believe,
It would never be you but I open, you smile,
And you say, baby, you waited a while,

So we'll sit here by the fire, listen to the snow,
Drunk on christmas kisses, no one need know,
And we'll stay here 'til we have to sleep,
On our beautiful first christmas eve,
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."

This is actually a decent Christmas song that I'd like to download and play it at Christmas party
Damning Reficul: Song is like singing from the light whilst the emotions can be so raw from the darkness.

Thank you very much, iBee and Krent_Calstro I get bored sometimes, haha!

And um... I think, to Duce. Not exactly the kinda response I was looking for and I'd much prefer it if you didn't post it on my perfectly innocent christmas song Thanks for that, mate.

You sit. You think about something, anything. Life, emotions, etc. It doesn't fit in prose. So you put it in a song.
    C'est la vie.
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."
