Passion, Pain - help me out here.

I heard a song on the radio and some where in the chorus it said something about passion and pain - the end of two phrases in a row - maybe something like
"I don't have any passion
I don't have any pain"
or perhaps
"Where is the passion?
where is the pain?"
The singer kind of had a high pitched voice.
It was rock/funk/perhaps disco from sometime in the 70s maybe?
I could also have the lyrics totally wrong - but I hope you can help
