i really enjoyed this, decided to read it four times before this comment lol but my favorite part has to be

My girlfriend is currently suffering from depression, and this is a brilliant piece of writing.

It would be quite cool of you put together another song very similar but with the narrator running out of hope, constantly trying to help bring the person out of the dark but failing. Just an idea...
