Most grown-up folks don't have your wit, hence my poor memory.

Surely if grown ups lose their wit, then you'd always assume me to be young?

    Life;

I used to think that people would grow up as I did, and there's a wonderful song by Bulat Okudzhava about that - how you keep thinking idiots will grow up as you grow up. Maybe some do, but it's a bit like fair business in Russia - "Russia is a big country and it's possible there's fair business in it, but I ain't seen none"

    flutters
    humankind
    past me

I'm not complaining. You've given me more compliments in this one week then I've been given my whole ATL lifetime

    Past me,

Compliments? I'm just following Bulat's advice. (Note to self: I've got to translate that song.) In short, life's too short not to speak with graceful truth to people, using the width and the depth of expression our vocabulary allows us to. 'course, he expresses it about 100x more deeply and beautifully, but the point stands.

    I like your last one.

Please translate the song for me. And keep waxing lyrical about me with all the width and depth your expressive vocab can employ. No objections

    Glad you approve

I fear the English language is inadequate for the purpose... Maybe I will try anyway. I've tried a couple of times but I always give up after a line or two, it just doesn't sound anything like his divinity.

    you lie
    winter, you lie to me

I can translate it into Arabic so it can gain back some of its divinity

Your haiku/senryus are a bit different tonight Anything on your mind?

    I'm not dead
    Even though you tried
    I'm still strong
