Could you check if my translation is correct please? (and point out where it isn't and why ;D)
I don't know what "korni" means.

    Mustat hevoset

Ja niin vain tuli uusi vuosi.
    Kävelin kaupungista jonnekkin ylöspäin.
    Mäellä seisoi ylväs vesitorni
Jos teen siitä laulun sulle olenko korni
    Näin mustia hevosia vapaina
Se oli vihje siitä että elämä on arvaamatonta
    Ainaiset yllätykset
    Erot ja kohtaamiset
    Elomme mustat hevoset

    Olen valinnut sinut
    Tule viereeni
    Tule viereeni nukkumaan
    olen valinnut sinut
    Tule viereeni
    En päästä meitä hukkumaan

Ja niin vain meni sekin vuosi
    Nukuimme parvekkeella sieltä lähdit maailmalle
    Näin mustia hevosia taas vapaina
Mutten voinut nähdä näin kaukaa sinua
    Ainaiset yllätykset
    Erot ja kohtaamiset
    Elomme mustat hevoset

    Olen valinnut sinut
    Tule viereeni
    Tule viereeni nukkumaan
    Olen valinnut sinut
    Tule viereeni
    En päästä meitä hukkumaan

    Hei olimmeko me roihuava palo
    Vai järven päälle rakennettu talo

    Black horses

And so a new year just came
I walked up somewhere in the town
A grand water tower stood on a hill
If I write a song about it for you am I (korni?)
I saw black horses in the wild
It was a hint that life is unpredictable
    Eternal surprises
    Partings and meetings
    Our lives black horses

    I have chosen you
    Come with me
    Come to sleep with me
    I have chosen you
    Come with me
I won’t let us get lost

And so the year just went by too
We slept on the balcony since you left to the world
I saw black horses in the wild again
But I couldn’t see you from so far
    Eternal surprises
    Partings and meetings
    Our lives black horses

    I have chosen you
    Come with me
    Come to sleep with me
    I have chosen you
    Come with me
I won’t let us get lost

    Hey, were we blazing fire
Or a house built on a lake

    Very well done with the translation. Even though there's some little mistranslations, the song's message doesn't really change. I'm feeling nitpicky for correcting the small insignificant "mistakes". But here it goes anyway;

The word "korni" is equivalent to "corny".

    These lyrics are what I'd correct;

    Our lives black horses
    - Correction: "Our lives' black horses".
    - Reason: Because "Elomme" is a possessive word. ("-mme" suffix indicates possession and plural form (our))

    Come with me
    - The literal translation is "Come by me" or "Come next to me" or "Come beside me", pick what suits you the best...
    - "Viereeni" basic form is "vieressä" ((to be) next to something/someone).
    - "Come with me" would be "Tule kanssani" or "tule minun kanssasi" in Finnish.

    Come to sleep with me
    - The literal translation would be "Come to sleep beside me".

Wow, I did rather well! Thank you for the correction "come beside me" sounds nice I think...

Sorry, I am new here, but this

    Our lives black horses
    - Correction: "Our lives' black horses".
"lives'= genitive adjective plural? (of our lives)
    And not alive, living ?
Ah, ok... Sorry, I thought "lives'" was adverb/verb.
