*: "Ne olur" lit. means "What would be?" - it's actually a form of begging, as in "Nothing bad would happen, if you did, what I beg for". It has no equivalent in English, the nearest translation will be a deep "please"
*²: "nazar" (from Arabic « na6'r » "gaze") is a Turkish superstition. It is believed, that someone who is jealous, will eventually and highly possibly cast a "nazar" (harming gaze) onto the one, whom they envy. It is very feared in Turkey. You might have come across those blue-blue-blue-yellow-blue eyes, made of glass? They are a protecting charm against these so-called "nazar"s.
