Bachateros are those who dance bachata...the song has bachata music in the background during the chorus....I think its a cuatro...how do you say cuatro in English? (its not FOUR)..its the instrument...

for anyone trying to translate, the words that end like "ero" (masculine) or "ona" (feminine) are generally referring to a person who does that particular thing.

examples-

Cuarentona- cuarenta(40)+ona = a woman who is in her forties

Wrong, Cuatro is a instrument native from Venezuela(My country) I used to play cuatro in my school (we were obligated to learn it) its like a guitar but with 4 strings.

What they use in bachata is Bandola

YouTube - Pasaje Bandola y Cuatro In that video you have an example the guy dressed in a marines uniform is playing the Cuatro and the other guy the Bandola.

The cuatro only has 4 strings thats why its "Four" in spanish and it is used to make "Musica Criolla"
