SOLVED: I'm sure someone can help me find the artist to this song.

Hi everyone,

I think I know the lyrics to this song and and I am guessing it was around the Grassroots Rock Group era.

I'm pretty sure they didn't sing this, but I could be wrong as it sounds like them. Lol


"Listen to the rumors fly, is it true what I hear?"

The other lyrics I remember are.

"Don't come running back to me, are you out of your mind, one thing I will never be, is the second in line."

I think the song is called "One Night Stand." Can't find it anywhere.

Anyone help?

It's one of a dozen or so oldies that run through my head.

Very surprised to see it was The Magic Lantern... The song reminded me of Bill Deal and The Rhondells.
